Kevin Eastman (basketball)
Kevin Eastman (born April 7, 1955[1]) is an American basketball coach and current assistant to head coach Doc Rivers of the Boston Celtics of the NBA. Eastman joined the Celtics' coaching staff before the 2004–05 season.[2]
Prior to joining the Celtics, Eastman served as Nike Basketball's National Director of Skills in 2003–04, and spent 2002–03 as athletic director at Randoph-Macon College.[2] Eastman spent five years (1994–1999) as head men's basketball coach at Washington State University and four years (1990–1994) as head coach at the University of North Carolina Wilmington.[2] In addition, he held assistant coaching positions at the University of Tulsa, Virginia Commonwealth University, Colorado State University and his alma mater, the University of Richmond.[2]
As a player for the Spiders, Eastman was a two-time team captain and a three-year starter, and scored 1,162 points.[3] He also a member of the university's athletic hall of fame.[3]
